Aldeia de São Francisco de Assis

Aldeia de São Francisco de Assis is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Covilhã, with an area of 16.08 km² and 632 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 39.3 inhab/km².

From 1864 to 1890 it was annexed to the parish of Barroca, in the municipality of Fundão.

It was annexed to the parish of Ourondo, in the municipality of Covilhã, by decree of 07/09/1895, appearing in these conditions in the 1900 census.

It was detached by decree of 19/07/1901, becoming an independent parish with the name of Bodelhão. By decree nº 15.868, of 8/15/1928, it changed its name to Aldeia de São Francisco de Assis (Source: INE)
