The Welcome Center, a tourist service center, is located at the south entrance of the city of Covilhã, in Alameda Pêro da Covilhã, access can be done by car since it has parking, on foot or other means of transport.
There are several places in the city to find a taxi, at Praça do Município, at the railway station, at the bus station or next to the Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira
It is possible to reach Covilhã, through the main access roads, the city is also served by the motorway network, the A23, and A25, where the average travel time is approximately 2: 30h. Coming from the North you should follow the A1 towards Lisbon, continuing on the A25 towards Guarda and, finally, the A23 until Covilhã. Coming from the South, take the A1 towards Porto, exiting at the Torres Novas junction, take the A23 until Covilhã. If you are moving from the Center, you can use the IP3 until you reach the city of Viseu and then follow the signs for the A25 towards Guarda and enter the A 23 towards Covilhã In all directions, take the Covilhã exit towards the Hospital.
After arriving at the Hospital, follow the directions for: Penhas da Saúde or Centro.
When you arrive in Covilhã, you should follow the directions for Penhas da Saúde, on your way you will pass through Praça do Município keeping always direction Penhas da Saúde, along Estrada Nacional, nº 339.
Head northwest on Alameda Pêro da Covilhã towards Av. Infante D. Henrique. Follow R. Cidade do Fundão to Av. 25 de Abril, at Largo de S. João de Malta, turn right towards R. Conde da Covilhã, at the top of this, turn left until you reach Largo da Infantaria 21. Arrived at destination!
It is located in Alameda Europa, in the new part of the city, next to Jardim do Lago and the Municipal Library.

The train station is located in the lower part of the city, access can be on foot, car, taxi or by public transport, having as reference the building of the Court, which is close to Largo da Estação.
Follow the main entrance of Covilhã, Alameda Pêro da Covilhã until the roundabout of Rossio do Rato near the University, then follow the signs towards the rectory of the University until the monument.
The best way to discover this city of hills is on foot, using the different means of mobility that the city has.
Serra cheese can be purchased at the various regional products stores that are spread around the city, at the Municipal Market. If you visit the Cheese Museum in Ferro, in addition to tasting this excellent product too, you can buy it.
