Starting and ending at the Cherry Interpretive Center, right in the center of the town of Ferro, set off to discover Serra do Ferro, its century-old chestnut trees and immense biodiversity. Walk along its entire ridge, with privileged views of Cova da Beira and Serra da Estrela, or choose to take a shortcut along its two variants to shorten the tour.
At the top of the mountain, in addition to the magnificent landscapes around, you can also visit the Pedra do Adufe or the Castro das Sesmarias, vestiges of an ancient occupation of this territory.
The route is circular and of moderate difficulty, with two variants for greater flexibility and adaptation to the physical preparation and interests of each one. It partially coincides with the Camino de Santiago and the Variant of the Grande Rota do Zêzere that cross the parish.
