PR20 CVL – Argemela Route
The “Rota da Serra da Argemela” route is a circular route, of moderate to high difficulty.
On the way to Castro da Argemela, halfway up the slope and with our eyes fixed on the horizon, we passed a deactivated mining complex, the “Mina da Companhia Inglesa”, with a privileged view of the village of Barco, the location where the Interpretative Center of the Argemela. Next to Castro da Argemela, classified as a Site of Municipal Interest, we will be able to have a broad view over the entire extent of the Cova da Beira tectonic gap, the southern and eastern slopes of Serra da Estrela and, further north, over the Zêzere river. A stimulating and engaging route, crossing several eras and heritages.
