PR1 CVL – Shale Path Sobral de São Miguel
About 8 km long, the Sobral de São Miguel Shale Path starts in the center of the village.
After the first climb, it is possible to observe the surrounding landscape with the mountains that mark the landscape, highlighting the Serra da Estrela.
On the way down, we can admire the corrals and the imposing terraces. Walking through chestnut trees, pine trees and thickets, we arrive at the majestic Cascata do Vale das Vacas, a natural wonder.
In the last stage of the route, we pass through the shepherds’ path and walk along the Ribeira da Cabrieira, observing the cultivated fields and the respective irrigation systems.
