Mountain Botanical Garden

General information

The Mountain Botanical Garden, inserted in the Alexandre Aibéo Park, extends over an area of 12 thousand m ² and gathers a vast diversity of species of the flora characteristic of Serra da Estrela, as well as mountainous areas South, Central Europe and North Africa.

Through properly identified walking paths, you can appreciate over 90 different species of trees, plants and shrubs, such as oaks, holm oaks, cork oaks, ash trees, elm trees, fruit trees, beech trees, ginkgo, cedars, firs, yew trees, broom and redwoods .

The new educational and leisure space also has a support infrastructure with reception, toilets, bar and panoramic terrace.
