Located in Covão do Boi, the gracious Senhora da Boa Estrela is sculpted in the rock.
Inaugurated in 1946, the sculpture over 7 meters high was designed by António Duarte, based on the intention of the local parish priest to pay homage to the holy protector of the shepherds, who have faced the storms of the harsh region for centuries.
