Located in the parish of Peraboa, this museum wishes to honor all the men and women who dedicated themselves to pastoralism and, above all, cheese.

From the inside out, the Cheese Museum intends to spread the traditions, the cry of the fertile fields, the shepherd, the herds, the transhumance.

The Cheese Museum is a true sensory trip both around the Serra da Estrela cheese, and across the plains of Cova da Beira, formerly known as Vale dos Judeus.

This Museum is unique in Portugal and, in a first phase, shows the fauna and flora in the context of Serra da Estrela.

It is also an excellent place to taste the excellent cheese that is produced in the region.
